In order to see the film, which in this case means to sense and feel it, the “spectator” (consumer) has to put both hands through the entrance to the movie house. The curtain, hitherto raised only for the eyes, is now, at long last, raised for the hands as well.

Charles Ray’s Unpainted Sculpture

You had me at the painted smashed-up car. Then you really had me at the smashed-up car that was disassembled, cast in fiberglass, and reassembled so that it looked like a painted smashed-up car. Then I read the title again, and you had me grinning.
